We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patients, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assess patient status on an ongoing basis and document pertinent information.
- Ensure nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and initial treatment plans are completed upon admission.
- Administer medications accurately and document medication administration.
- Monitor patient acuity, census, and staffing needs, and make arrangements for coverage as needed.
- Provide education and explanation to patients, families, and coworkers regarding medication usage, patient rights, and other topics necessary for optimal patient care.
- Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
- One or more years' nursing experience within a clinical area of service provided by the facility, preferably in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment.
- Valid current RN license from the state or from a compact state, where applicable.
- Certified in Psychiatric Nursing preferred.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
