Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Preferred Health Care Services. As a CNA, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients on Aquidneck Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
  • Monitor and report changes in client behavior and condition.
  • Perform vital signs, intake and output, and other basic nursing procedures.
  • Assist with range of motion exercises and other therapeutic activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Requirements
  • State certification/registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Knowledge and experience in bedside nursing.
  • Ability to read thermometers and charts.
  • Basic reading and writing skills, with the ability to speak English.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, move, and squat for prolonged periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other staff members.
