Position Summary: The Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily management of warehouse activities, directing, organizing, and allocating tasks for the operational team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of order fulfillment, inventory management, and outbound logistics.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with alternating Saturdays from 7 AM to 12 PM. Expect an average work week of 50-60 hours.

Compensation: This position is hourly and non-exempt, with a pay range of $26 to $28 per hour. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 times the base rate, with annual earnings typically between $73,715 and $89,740, depending on experience and overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all operational functions are adequately staffed to handle varying workloads, managing the flow of orders for a team of approximately 15-30 employees in a large-scale facility.
  • Maintain quality control processes and uphold operational standards.
  • Guarantee timely shipping performance by collaborating with team members to meet quality and accuracy benchmarks.
  • Supervise workforce alignment to maximize staffing efficiency.
  • Drive operational improvements to support ongoing enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide direct oversight to shift leads and frontline staff, holding them accountable for their performance.
  • Offer leadership, training, and support to the team, addressing issues as they arise.
  • Foster leadership development within the team, promoting professional growth.
  • Manage the upkeep of the facility and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular audits of warehouse operations to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using tablets, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and internal portals.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to coach, mentor, and analyze data to develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Commitment to providing high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Strong organizational skills relevant to all operational aspects.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
  • Regularly required to use hands for handling objects and tools, reach with arms, and communicate verbally. Frequent walking and standing, with occasional sitting.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Close vision is required.
