Job Title: Intake Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Intake Specialist to join our team at Total Respiratory & Rehab. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication between patients, physicians, and referral sources, while providing exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients and referral sources with home respiratory equipment questions and orders.
  • Verify insurance coverage and prior authorization information.
  • Complete special instructions for billing patients' insurance prior to delivery.
  • Work with management and respiratory personnel to meet patients' needs for unusual equipment or supplies.
  • Inform patients or caregivers of benefits and arrange private pay billing if required.
  • Act as a company field representative to solve patient problems.
  • Collaborate with family or referral sources and warehouse personnel on delivery and/or pick-up arrangements.
  • Confirm completed work orders in a timely manner.
  • Forward completed paperwork to the HME office manager for tracking purposes.
Requirements:
  • High degree of integrity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Brightree knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to cater to diverse customer base.
  • Knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position requiring a 40-hour work week. Hours are generally 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed.

Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory response from a Background Screening.
