Position Overview

As a Water Safety Attendant, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests. Prevention is paramount in maintaining a secure environment.

Your role involves upholding and enforcing all water park regulations and safety protocols to avert incidents.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor swimmers in various attractions including the wave pool and lazy river.
  • Exhibit attentiveness and assertiveness to guarantee guests utilize all attractions safely.
  • Communicate effectively with guests to prevent injuries and eliminate potential hazards.
  • Maintain safety standards, be prepared for emergencies, and act as a first responder when necessary.
  • Execute safe and efficient rescues as per training guidelines.
  • Stay informed to accurately conduct live audits.
  • Assist guests with equipment and ensure smooth flow in attraction lines.
  • Calculate appropriate dispatch intervals for riders.
  • Deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
  • Keep all areas, including patios and workspaces, clean and well-maintained.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while engaging in water activities.
  • Interact with park guests and provide necessary information.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 15 for shallow water supervision.
  • Successful completion of StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training is required.
  • Able to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Must swim 200 yards, tread water, and retrieve a diving brick from the pool bottom.
  • Vision must be 20/20 with corrective lenses, and physical endurance to respond to emergencies is essential.
  • Ability to assist guests of varying weights using a backboard.
  • Capable of performing physical rescues as needed.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Attendance at all mandatory in-service training sessions to maintain certification is required.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
