Job Summary

Leer Mine Complex is seeking a skilled Underground Section Utility worker to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various general/manual labor duties, including shoveling, applying rock dust, and assisting other miners in their duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general/manual labor duties, such as shoveling and applying rock dust
  • Assist other miners in performing their duties
  • Operate rubber-tired, battery-powered scoops to clean the mine bottom and haul supplies
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and examine mine conditions
  • Tram machines safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Current West Virginia Underground Black Hat Certification
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain acceptable work standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere
