Cybersecurity Coordinator Job Description

ProSearch Maine is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Coordinator to lead cybersecurity coordination and outreach initiatives across state government levels and affiliated organizations. This role focuses on building cybersecurity awareness, readiness, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver cybersecurity education materials, workshops, and outreach programs tailored to various knowledge levels.
• Coordinate cybersecurity initiatives, aligning goals and efforts among multiple stakeholders.
• Advocate for the adoption of cybersecurity standards and best practices.
• Identify gaps in cybersecurity resources and recommend improvements.
• Build partnerships with industry associations, community groups, and other entities to develop a cohesive cybersecurity outreach strategy.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in strategic planning, project management, or coordination, ideally in cybersecurity or public sector projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Public Administration, or related field required.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
• Experience with federal programs or grants in cybersecurity is a plus.

Work Environment & Travel:

Primarily remote, with occasional travel throughout Maine for meetings and stakeholder engagement.
