Instructional Support Specialist

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Instructional Support Specialist to join our team. As an Instructional Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, as well as additional support to the core classroom staff.
Key Responsibilities- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Work with students to develop and implement their IEPs, utilizing group and individual instruction in the classroom and community.
- Provide Job Coaching and Training: Assist in the training of students on campus or at community job sites, teaching them appropriate work behavior and specific employment skills.
- Document Student Progress: Complete accurate and timely documentation on student behavior, reporting observations to relevant staff and making recommendations based on observations.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of student information and records at all times.
- Perform Other Duties: Assist in the preparation of other behavioral reports and daily activities logs as required, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalency.
- Certification: Active Paraprofessional and/or PPS Certification preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working with children, preferably in an education or classroom setting.
- Skills: Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply concepts of basic math, and a valid CA Drivers License.
- Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
