About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a comprehensive educational program in your assigned classroom, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Supervise and guide Instructional Assistants and Associate Teachers to ensure a cohesive and effective team.
  • Support the Center Supervisor in carrying out responsibilities at the Center, including coordinating home visits and parent conferences as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of children's progress and development.
  • Plan and implement the curriculum, ensuring a wide variety of experiences for children and a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Participate in physical activities and attend all staff meetings and required trainings.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • 24 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development coursework.
  • 6 months of related teaching experience.
  • RCCP, Child Development Teacher Permit, or higher.
  • Valid California Driver's License and auto insurance.
  • Children's Center Permit or qualify for an appropriate Children's Center Permit prior to beginning employment.
