We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Therapist III to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of positive behavioral support principles and the ability to implement effective treatment plans for individuals with complex needs.



Job Summary

The Behavioral Therapist III will work closely with our clinical team to develop and implement individualized behavior support plans that promote positive growth and teaching of alternative behaviors. This position involves providing direct service to staff in need of support, processing referrals for behavioral services, and collaborating with the behavioral team to provide staff trainings and collect data for functional behavior assessments.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level direct behavior support for students and individuals served through observations, modeling, teaching, role-playing, and coaching
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized behavior support plans that follow best practices in behavior analysis, positive behavior supports, and positive growth
  • Process fully all referrals for behavioral services under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Services, Coordinator of Behavioral Services, and/or Behavior Specialist III
  • Assist BCBA/BCaBA/Behavior Specialist III/Coordinator of Behavioral Services in ensuring that all staff are trained on each student and individual served behavior support plan and data collection system
  • Maintain all required documentation and progress notes in accordance with DEEC, DESE, DCF, DDS, and other best practice standards
  • Attend and participate in all necessary treatment team meetings, assessment meetings, six-month review meetings, IEP meetings, ISP meetings, positive behavior support meetings, and behavioral department meetings


Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field. BCaBA, BCBA, or Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Conversational Portuguese or Spanish speaking is also desirable. This is a 40-hour per week position with some flexibility and on-call responsibility.



Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of up to $23.50 per hour, plus an additional $2.00 per hour Staff Retention Pay Rate (currently funded through June 30, 2024). A range of benefits includes:
