We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant and Lead Childcare Teacher at Once Upon a Time Schoolhouse in Belleville, WI.

Job Summary

As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for implementing a high-quality educational program, developing positive relationships with children and their parents, and contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to children's interests and needs, utilizing the Creative Curriculum framework.
  • Assist co-teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and progress reports, fostering a sense of community and partnership.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program, adhering to state regulations and center policies.
Requirements
  • Strong attendance record and ability to work a 9-hour shift, Monday through Friday.
  • High energy and enthusiasm for working with children and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational software and technology.
  • Understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Assistant or Lead Teacher qualifications/certifications.
  • Infant/Toddler certification.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification; Abusive Head Trauma, SIDS, and Mandated Reporter Trainings.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
