Welder AB - 2nd Shift Position
Job Summary
Ashland Foundry and Machine Works, LLC is seeking a skilled Welder AB - 2nd Shift to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, including arc and acetylene welding, brazing, and cutting.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld various types of production equipment, including pipe, fabricate steel and boiler plate parts, and fuse hard facing materials.
- Perform routine work applying principles of welding, elementary heat treating, and sheet metal working.
- Plan and layout details and development of sheet metal and boiler plate work.
- Cut or sheer, band, roll, and form variously shaped parts using sheet metal working and gas welding equipment.
Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in welding.
- Training equivalent to partial high school plus about 2-3 years of apprenticeship or trade training.
- Ability to understand basic to complicated drawings and specifications, shop arithmetic, and use of scales, protractors, squares, precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of arc and gas welding principles and methods, fusion of various metals and alloys, elementary heat treating, and shop metallurgy.
Working Conditions
The Welder AB - 2nd Shift will work in a foundry environment subject to temperatures of heat and cold depending on the season. Required PPE includes steel toe shoes, hearing protection, eye protection, and necessary protective mask or hood.

Compensation
$23.46 - $24.84 per hour plus $0.60 shift differential.
