Job Title: Airport Crewmember

Avelo Airlines, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Airport Crewmember to join our team. As an Airport Crewmember, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our passengers every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide an exceptional customer experience by assisting passengers through every step of their airport journey.
  • Customer Check-in and Baggage Handling: Work in the lobby checking-in passengers and baggage.
  • Boarding Gate Operations: Work at the boarding gate, boarding flights and assisting passengers with questions.
  • Baggage Claim Operations: Work at the baggage claim, assisting passengers with baggage irregularities, filing baggage claims, and answering questions.
  • Disability Support: Assist passengers with disabilities, including pushback wheelchairs, handling assistive devices, and conducting on-board transfers, as required.
  • Ramp Operations: Operate boarding ramps, jetbridges, and air stairs, where equipped.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional service for our passengers.
Requirements:
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work in a high-speed, sometimes stressful environment during a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Physical Demands: Exposure to different environmental conditions, heights, small spaces, and loud noises such as aircraft, vehicles, and other machinery.
  • Lifting and Moving: Regularly lift, push, pull and move up to 70 pounds.
  • Wheelchair Assistance: Ability to push wheelchairs up and down an incline.
  • Education and Certification: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and a valid US state driver's license.
  • Background Check: Must pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including an FBI background check and drug screening.
  • Airport SIDA Badge: Obtain an airport SIDA badge.
