Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Night PCT to join our team at Advocate Sherman Hospital's Clinical Decision Unit. As a Night PCT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff during evening and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist RNs with daily patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
  • Measure and document patient data, such as blood pressures, temperatures, and intake/output.
  • Perform purposeful rounding and promptly communicate patient observations and concerns to RNs.
  • Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes, including room setup and patient orientation.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and maintain patient records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with RNs to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days of hire.
  • Nurse Aide certification in good standing with the State Registry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical records.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and push/pull heavy equipment. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
