Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage departmental budgets, including tracking expenditures and revenues.
- Facilitate purchasing and payment processes, ensuring compliance with university policies.
- Prepare and approve various financial forms related to purchasing, travel, and reimbursements.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card transactions for departmental staff.
- Support student organizations in understanding and utilizing allocated funding effectively.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is required, along with two years of relevant experience in financial administration or budget management. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in data collection and analysis.
- Strong understanding of budgetary principles and practices.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise financial reports.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with electronic information and accounting systems.
Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
