We are seeking a highly skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to join our Support team and work alongside our Delivery team. As a DevOps Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and building complex AWS environments, troubleshooting and incident support, and acting as a first responder to alerts and tackling varying requests from our AWS customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and building complex AWS environments and familiar with AWS native technologies (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy), Terraform, and Docker.
  • Client-facing role requiring consultative engagement with clients and internal teams on a regular basis.
  • Actioning support requests on the phone and through our service desks, troubleshooting and incident support.
  • Acting as a first responder to alerts and tackling varying requests and sending timely replies to questions from our AWS customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and 5 years or HS/GED and 7 years of experience.
  • 1 year in AWS infrastructure.
  • Minimum AWS Certified Developer - Associate.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or the willingness and aptitude to obtain one.
  • Practical experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using both AWS native solutions as well as Industry standard.
  • Experience with re-architecting traditional applications for AWS.
  • Passion for Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with multi-tiered architectures.
  • Practical experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform (preferred) or Cloudformation.
  • Fluency in a programming language (Python preferred) and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of how to build container-based applications and packaging for Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT.
  • 8 years in Software development with Networking and Systems Administration.
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (from developers to executives).
