Endoscopy Technician Job Description

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team at the CHA Somerville Campus. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care and assisting gastroenterologists and Endo/GI nurses with GI procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and assist with GI procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to Cambridge Health Alliance and SGNA standards.
  • Set up procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Enter procedural data into ProVation and adhere to high-level disinfecting standards for reprocessing endoscopes.
  • Assist providers with endoscopy procedures, stock rooms, and perform unit-specific quality testing.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Healthcare preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of current GI, surgical technician, and/or Endo care experience preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certificate required.
  • Completion of SGNA Program within six months for current or new hires.
