The Nemours Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Specialty Nurse to join our team in the Rheumatology department. As a Specialty Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Evaluation: Perform ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient progress and revise the interdisciplinary plan of care as needed.
- Patient Education: Participate in patient and family education, providing information on common Rheumatology diagnoses and medications.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between families and members of the healthcare team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Clinical Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in Rheumatology nursing practice, sharing knowledge with other healthcare team members and participating in the development of standards of care.
- Quality Improvement: Contribute to departmental and hospital programs for Quality/Process Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance services and implementing actions as needed.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Licensure: Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure required.
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Experience: Pediatric nursing experience required, prior Rheumatology nursing experience preferred.
