Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts, using minimal supervision or repeats, while providing patient support throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and other associates and peers.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
  • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, dependent on State regulations and business needs.
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual.
