Our client is a leading American organization responsible for managing Texas's electrical grid, known as the Texas Interconnection, which delivers power to over 25 million customers and constitutes 90 percent of the state's electric load. This organization is recognized as the first independent system operator (ISO) in the United States and is one of nine ISOs in North America. They collaborate with the Texas Reliability Entity (TRE), a regional entity within the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), dedicated to enhancing the reliability of the bulk power grid. The organization operates as a membership-based 501(c) nonprofit corporation, encompassing a diverse range of members including consumers, electric cooperatives, generators, power marketers, retail electric providers, investor-owned electric utilities, and municipally owned electric utilities.
Position Title: SharePoint Developer

Position Summary:
As a SharePoint Developer, you will be instrumental in the migration initiative from Classic to Modern sites. This role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders to comprehend their needs, devise modern site solutions, strategize and implement the migration process, and oversee user acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to collect requirements for modern site design and functionality.
- Create modern site solutions customized to the unique requirements of each site collection.
- Formulate migration plans and strategies to transition content from Classic Sites to Modern sites, ensuring data integrity and minimal user disruption.
- Carry out the migration process, which includes configuring site settings, migrating content, and validating post-migration functionality.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing sessions with stakeholders to confirm that migrated sites fulfill their expectations and requirements.
- Offer training and support to users for effective utilization of the new Modern sites.
- Continuously assess and enhance the performance and usability of Modern sites following migration.
- Document migration processes, best practices, and insights for future reference.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in SharePoint development, specifically in migrating from Classic Sites to Modern sites.
- Comprehensive understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, features, and functionalities.
- Expertise in Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow automation and custom application development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Online, Power Platform Fundamentals, or similar are advantageous.
