Job Title: Pathology Assistant

At RWJBarnabas Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pathology Assistant to join our team. As a Pathology Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our pathologists and residents in performing post-mortem examinations, maintaining morgue rooms and equipment, and delivering remains to funeral directors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pathologists and residents in performing post-mortem examinations
  • Maintain morgue rooms and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Receive, store, maintain, and deliver all remains in the prescribed manner to funeral directors
  • Perform surgical pathology specimen grossing up to level of expertise
  • Perform additional general duties in support of routine laboratory and pathology services
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Baccalaureate degrees or completion of a Pathology Assistant program with certification
Work Environment:

This is a per diem position with variable hours, including weekends. You will be working in a fast-paced laboratory environment with a team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.
