Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Regent Care Centers of Laredo. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents and supervise the day-to-day activities of nursing assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and other medical treatments.
  • Supervise nursing assistants and ensure they are performing their duties in accordance with established standards and regulations.
  • Make written and oral reports to the Director of Nursing Services regarding resident care and any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as completing medical forms, reports, and evaluations, as necessary.
  • Complete and file required recordkeeping forms and charts upon resident admission, transfer, or discharge.
  • Make daily rounds of the unit to ensure that nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
  • Administer professional services, such as catheterization, tube feedings, and applying and changing dressings, as required.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN in the state of hire.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
