The Environmental Services Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of both staff and clients by maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of facilities to the highest standards. This position is essential in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring a safe environment for all. The responsibilities directly influence the quality of care provided and the overall efficiency of operations.
- Execute all cleaning and sanitation tasks using designated products, tools, and procedures.
- Cleaning responsibilities encompass: sweeping, mopping, polishing, waste disposal, window cleaning, and moving furniture and equipment as necessary.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
- Secure and unlock facilities, manage security systems as needed.
- 1-2 years of experience in custodial services, janitorial work, or housekeeping is advantageous but not mandatory.
- On-the-job training will be provided for candidates demonstrating a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Experience in a professional cleaning environment, such as an office, hotel, hospital, or educational institution, is beneficial.
- Ability to adapt, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks is essential.
- Contribute positively to the workplace atmosphere with a friendly demeanor and commitment to teamwork, including adherence to uniform standards and punctuality.
- Show respect and understanding towards colleagues and clients.
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, and reaching forward. Must be capable of lifting and/or carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to comprehend cleaning instructions.
- Ability to distinguish between various cleaning products and their appropriate uses.
