About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Assistant to join our team at Granger School District 204. As a Custodial Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities. You will work closely with our maintenance team to ensure that all areas of the school are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins on a daily basis.
  • Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and urinals.
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of events and activities in school facilities.
  • Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and report any issues to the maintenance team.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in custodial work preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and assist with lifting heavier items as needed.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends.

Compensation and Benefits
$42,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
