Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate II to join our team in the Medical Associated Science & Technology Program (MAST). As a Research Associate II, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of novel drugs and devices to diagnose and treat patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Routine and Complex Laboratory Tasks: Perform routine and increasingly complex laboratory tasks, procedures, and develop technical expertise in one or more areas relevant to research projects.
- Participate in Research Activities: Participate in research activities involving all aspects of the research process, including investigation, technical, testing/validation of results, and report findings.
- Support Laboratory Operations: Assist in the operation of specialized equipment, maintain lab equipment and related records, and coordinate use of lab equipment.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with contract labs to manage internal and external generated datasets and develop system for animal and human subject sample barcoding and archiving.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a Science related field is required.
- Experience: 1 year of research laboratory experience (specifically in molecular biology) is required.
- Skills: Knowledge of the microbiome and of genetic and molecular analytic techniques, experience with multiple techniques using PCR and robotics automation, and digital literacy.
