At Intermountain Health, we're committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - Sonographer, you'll play a critical role in helping us achieve this goal.

Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - Sonographer is responsible for performing ultrasound examinations under the direction of a physician to identify abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures proper patient identification, verifies orders, and prepares patients for exams
  • Uses proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams
  • Demonstrates ability to perform any exam on all ages of patients (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) using appropriate protocol and following ACR guidelines
  • Completes and annotates medically acceptable exams, following ACR guidelines while producing maximum diagnostic information in minimal time
  • Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting events that may occur, for quality, maintaining current QC program for ACR, and reporting equipment failures or problems
  • Exhibits good safety practices in body substance protection, cleaning of equipment, using proper sterile techniques, and removing expired materials

Requirements:

  • ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers

Preferred Qualifications:

Ultrasound experience

Carrying, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Sitting, Speaking, Standing

Estimated Salary: $44.75 - $67.22 per hour, depending on experience.
