Ascension Seton is seeking a skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our orthodontic department, you will provide support to patients and dental services staff under the supervision of a dentist/orthodontist.
Responsibilities- Perform medical and administrative tasks to provide support to patients and dental services staff.
- Assist with performing assessments and treatments.
- Perform diagnostic radiographs and obtain alginate impressions for diagnostic and/or intra-oral appliances.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies in clean working order.
- Maintain examination areas in a clean, adequately stocked and organized condition.
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- Dental Assistant credentialed from the Texas Dental Assistant preferred.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
