About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician - Psychiatrist to join our team at the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric consultation and treatment for inpatients with medical problems
  • Consultation includes evaluation, interpretation, diagnosis, and management of psychiatric illnesses in any care site
  • Order diagnostic tests, imaging examinations, and/or diagnostic procedures
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat and manage outpatients as assigned
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited school
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certified or eligible in general psychiatry practice
