About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Labor and Employment Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage with complex labor and employment disputes, providing legal counsel to a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Handle PAGA claims, wage & hour disputes, and class-action lawsuits, ensuring clients' rights are adequately protected.
  • Provide legal advice to clients on various labor and employment issues, including compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including employment contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal correspondences.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to case management.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in labor and employment law to provide clients with the most current advice and ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar of California and in good standing.
  • 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a particular focus on PAGA claims, wage & hour disputes, and class-action lawsuits.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing a diverse caseload and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms for clients in settlement agreements and other legal negotiations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in the practice of law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to stay updated on changes in labor and employment law, demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
