The individual in this role will oversee and manage the functions related to material planning, inventory oversight, and logistics including storage, shipping, and receiving. This position is dedicated to materials management while collaborating with various departments to fulfill organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to ensure a sufficient supply of materials and streamline material flow.
  • Manage Kitting Operations: Guarantee the precise and timely assembly of all necessary components into kits, thereby improving production efficiency and reducing downtime by confirming the availability and quality of parts for each kit.
  • Establish and maintain inventory control systems by monitoring the status of purchase orders, inventory levels, and production needs.
  • Evaluate current procedures for accuracy; suggest and implement enhancements as required.
  • Anticipate and plan for future material requirements.
  • Analyze production schedules to confirm the availability of necessary materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Preferred experience includes at least 5 years in a related field.
  • Familiarity with 'Lean' material management principles is preferred. Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are required to effectively interact with other departments.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel and Access.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
