Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will:
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) to deliver top-notch care to inmates/detainees.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans under RN supervision.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and document medical histories.
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and securely.
- Monitor patients' symptoms and progress, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and adhere to accreditation policies.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A degree from an accredited nursing program.
- A current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of employment.
- Two years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software related to nursing.
