Production Control Assistant

About the Role:

Foresight Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Control Assistant to support our production control team in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule Coordination: Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  2. Order Processing: Process production orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution of tasks.
  3. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure availability and prevent stock outs.
  4. Production Monitoring: Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks or issues, and communicate with relevant departments to resolve them promptly.
  5. Data Management: Maintain accurate production records and databases, including production reports, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
  6. Communication: Liaise with production supervisors, planners, procurement, and other relevant departments to coordinate production activities effectively.
  7. Quality Assurance: Assist in ensuring that products meet quality standards by conducting quality checks and following up on corrective actions when necessary.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification of opportunities for process improvement and participate in the implementation of solutions to enhance production efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a production control or scheduling role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with production scheduling software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
