Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex technical procedures on biological specimens, ensuring accurate and efficient results. You will also be responsible for maintaining cost-effective levels of supplies and reagents, operating and calibrating equipment, and following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures on biological specimens.
  • Maintain cost-effective levels of supplies and reagents.
  • Operate and calibrate equipment used in testing.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • Recognize and correct errors.
  • Work independently and use independent judgment.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or equivalent.
  • Current technologist-level certification with ASCP or equivalent.
  • MA – Medical Assistant – certification required for employees performing phlebotomy.
