We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at CBRE. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in assigned facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, replacement, and repair of electrical and lighting equipment, including fire alarm panels.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Assist in coordinating larger electrical work with outside contractors and checking work after completion for proper work completion.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license required.
- Valid Driver's license required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Familiarity with NFPA70 & NFPA70E.
- Basic ability to use Microsoft Office products.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, Kwh, power factors, voltage, amperage, resistance, and other electrical related formulas.
