Job Summary

Under the direction of the CT Manager and CT Clinical Lead, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT procedures at a high level of proficiency following established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtains quality radiographs of patients within the department as well as with portable equipment in an acceptable timeframe.
  • Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Performs all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS.
  • Ensures proper charges are entered and referring physician's orders are verified.
  • Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepares examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation.
  • Maintains room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
  • Assists the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
  • Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and completes verification process in PACS.
  • Assists Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up.
Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
  • ARRT (CT) certification and Massachusetts state license in Computed Tomography.
  • 1 year of CT experience preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GE CT scanner experience.
  • Effective communication, organization, and professional demeanor.
Work Environment

7 Rotating Shifts, As required.
