Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to our clients, ensuring their optimal health and well-being. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to clients, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS LPN License
  • Current NYS Infection Control Certificate
  • Minimum one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all populations served
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
  • Proficiency with computers
