About the Role

Amedisys, a leading home health and hospice company, is seeking a skilled Hospice Liaison to join their team. This role requires a strong background in outside sales and business development in the healthcare industry, with a focus on generating leads and building relationships with key referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices to generate leads
  • Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining required documentation
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care
  • Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals
  • Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals
  • Meet short and long-term target account goals
Requirements
  • At least one year of outside sales experience in a healthcare-related business development/outreach role
  • A background in cold calling customers in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospital, home health, hospice, or long-term care
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required
  • Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and liability insurance
