Christian Children's Home of Ohio is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Specialist to join our team. As a Direct Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing care and supervision to our youth residents, ages 6-18, and helping them develop healthy connections and relationships.
Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group supervision to youth residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with the team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
- Participate in recreational activities, arts and crafts, meal times, and movie nights, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our youth.
- Utilize Safe Crisis Management (SCM) de-escalation and restraint techniques, as needed, to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines, ensuring the protection of our residents' sensitive information.
- Communicate effectively with the team, parents, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on resident progress and needs.
- Age 21+, high school diploma or GED, and a valid Ohio driver's license.
- Previous experience with children, preferably in a residential or therapeutic setting.
- Ability to maintain compliance with CCHO's requirements for using physical restraints, including SCM training and certification.
- Physical ability to respond to crisis situations and provide safe and effective care to our residents.
- $1000 employment bonus, paid within 60 days of employment.
