Associated Fire Protection seeks a skilled Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems Lead Technician to lead and execute fire safety projects in the field, ensuring seamless installations and flawless system programming.
About You:
We're looking for a technical leader with a passion for fire safety and strong project management skills. As a Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems Lead Technician, you'll be responsible for managing fire alarm and special hazard system installations from start to finish, handling project logistics, scheduling, and overseeing crew activities.
About the Role:
This advanced role requires excellent leadership qualities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team in the field. You'll collaborate with engineers to interpret complex design drawings and blueprints for system layouts, oversee and perform the installation of fire alarm and special hazard systems, and ensure adherence to industry standards and codes.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of $28-35 per hour, depending on experience, and the opportunity to develop your leadership skills further and ensure the safety of building occupants. We also offer training opportunities for those without NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards (or equivalent certification).
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire alarm system installations and programming, and NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards (or equivalent certification). You should have strong reading, writing, and math skills, as well as excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
