Company Overview:
CorMedix Inc. is a biopharmaceutical organization dedicated to the development and commercialization of therapeutic products aimed at preventing and treating life-threatening conditions and diseases.

Our primary focus is on advancing our lead product, DefenCath, a groundbreaking non-antibiotic antimicrobial solution designed to prevent serious and costly bloodstream infections associated with central venous catheters in patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis.

DefenCath has received Fast Track designation and Qualified Infectious Disease Product (QIDP) status from the FDA, with the original New Drug Application (NDA) undergoing priority review due to its potential to meet an urgent medical need.

We are also exploring the development of DefenCath as a catheter lock solution for various patient populations and collaborating with leading researchers to create taurolidine-based therapies for rare pediatric cancers.


Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will support the Accounting Manager in managing daily, monthly, and year-end operations within the Accounting/Finance Department, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies while communicating any discrepancies to management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing monthly and yearly closing processes.
  • Preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • Managing month-end journal entries.
  • Responding to external auditors during financial statement audits and SOX compliance.
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations of open purchase orders.
  • Preparing data for footnotes, supporting schedules, and analyses for quarterly and annual SEC filings.
  • Supervising accounts payable transactions.
  • Performing monthly searches for unrecorded liabilities.
  • Recording monthly activities for subsidiary companies.
  • Preparing variance analyses with explanations for significant variances.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Thorough understanding of month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Proficient in financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with SOX documentation and compliance.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and corporate internal controls.
  • Ability to develop and implement efficient accounting procedures.

Skills & Requirements:
  • Extensive proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Priority ERP system is a plus).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous.
