With a fleet operating approximately 800 routes and a workforce of around 1,800 personnel, our organization is committed to enhancing the efficiency and transparency of student transportation services.
Grade C Technicians Responsibilities
- Conduct minor repairs including fluid changes, bulb replacements, battery installations, tire servicing, and mirror adjustments.
- Support A and B Technicians with more complex tasks.
- Administer road tests.
- Starting pay rate: $20.81 per hour.
- Perform all duties of Grade C Technicians, in addition to:
- Assist in supervising Grade C Technicians.
- Conduct DOT preparations and inspections.
- Handle intermediate repairs on engine cooling systems, HVAC, transmission, electrical systems, suspension, and braking systems.
- Execute engine diagnostics for issues such as check engine lights and fuel pump pressure.
- Administer road tests.
- Starting pay rate: $23.11 per hour.
- Perform all duties of Grade B and C Technicians, in addition to:
- Assist in supervising Grade B and C Technicians.
- Conduct DOT preparations and inspections.
- Execute major engine repairs including replacements of engines, transmissions, and differentials.
- Perform advanced engine diagnostics for issues such as check engine lights and fuel pump pressure.
- Administer road tests.
- Starting pay rate: $26.58 per hour.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in reading and writing in English.
- At least one to two years of verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses or a regional occupational program.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, DOT physical, and random drug tests.
- Possession of a valid New York driver's license.
