Cardiologist Opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK

The Department of Veteran Affairs is actively recruiting a board-certified cardiologist to join our cardiology department at the Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System. The successful candidate will participate in inpatient and outpatient care related to cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical management including indirect patient care: open encounter and open consult maintenance, CPRS documentation requirements, monitoring of clinic management.
- Patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the promotion of health, prevention of illness, treatment of disease, and care at the end of life.
- Maintain involvement in matters concerning clinic productivity, relevant performance measures, Quality and Patient Safety oversight, as well as process improvements (system redesigns).
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
- Board Certified in Cardiology preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered.
- Additional board certification in Internal Medicine is preferred.
