Janitor IAH Outbuildings

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitor IAH Outbuildings to join our team at Flagship Facility Services. As a Janitor IAH Outbuildings, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and polish floors using industrial equipment. Dust and wash walls, ceilings, and light fixtures. Remove trash and heavy lifting up to 50lbs.
• Carpeted Areas: Empty waste baskets, dust/clean office furniture, vacuum all carpeting, and spot clean soiled areas on carpets.
• Lunchroom/Break Areas: Empty waste baskets, wipe/clean table tops and chairs, wipe/clean vending machines and appliances, and clean sink and counter areas.
• Restrooms: Empty waste baskets, clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals, sweep and mop floors with disinfectant, and spot clean walls, partitions, and doors.
• Non-Carpeted Areas: Empty waste baskets, sweep and spot mop tile floors, and complete damp mop tile floors.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.
• Skills: Knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities, good listening and verbal communication skills, and ability to maintain a neat appearance.

Our facilities are located in a small-to-large office environment. Safety glasses are required while performing certain tasks. The noise level is usually moderate, and you will be exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment.
