Job Title: Water Restoration Technician

At SunGlo Restoration Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Water Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Water Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for mitigating property damage caused by excess water at both commercial and residential job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate daily work orders to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Begin, monitor, and close mitigation projects to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate work progress with property owners and project team members to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Operate mitigation equipment, including truck mounts and drying equipment, to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.
  • Document progress at job sites using photos and daily update sheets, and complete reports as necessary.
  • Clean carpet and upholstery, contents, and structural elements, and perform mold removal to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Demonstrate damaged property using hand tools and perform debris cleanup to restore properties to their original state.
  • Install roof tarps as needed and perform landscaping duties, including stump removal, to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Perform animal waste cleanup and trauma cleanup to restore properties to their original state.
  • Clean trucks and equipment used on job sites and perform general maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform material pick-up and delivery to ensure timely project execution.

Requirements:

  • No experience required, but prior restoration experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak professionally to customers and employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver License and/or ability to obtain Chauffeur License.
  • Department of Transportation medical card.

Work Environment:

  • Frequently requires work in wet, humid conditions, extreme heat, and extreme cold.
  • Occasional work in high, precarious places.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Moderate noise present both in warehouse and at job sites.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to talk and hear on a continuous basis and taste and smell on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to climb and balance on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and Eye Exam.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
