Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Spindletop Pain Management. As a Pain Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct healthcare to patients, managing pain, and collaborating with our medical team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Conduct physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for patients with pain management needs.
- Prescribe Medications: Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Collaborate with Medical Team: Work closely with our medical team to develop and implement treatment plans, and refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Manage Pain: Develop and implement pain management plans, and provide education to patients on pain management techniques.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
- License/Certification: Current PA-C or NP license in the State of Texas (Active), or CPR and ACLS certified.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in pain management or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant License (PAL).
- Spanish speaking skills.
Work Environment:
