Pharmacy Buyer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Buyer to join our team at Palmetto General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement function of the Pharmacy department, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely ordering, receiving, and controlling of inventory for all pharmaceuticals and supplies used or issued by the Pharmacy department.

• Procure and manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies
• Assist in the preparation, packaging, delivering, and charging of medication orders under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Prepare and deliver IV sterile products
• Participate in Pharmacy quality assurance activities and assist pharmacists in performing various duties
• Report to the Director of Pharmacy

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Good organizational skills preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Current Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician licensure required
