About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist - Women's Health to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our Women's Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to new mothers and their babies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to new mothers and their newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for families to bond and heal.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established nursing policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the care management team, including anesthesiologists, physicians, midwives, lactation nurses, and charge nurses, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Educate patients on various interventions and procedures, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Assess newborns and provide individualized care, addressing their unique needs and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing college or program.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license cleared by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or with eNLC multi-state practice privilege.
  • Previous RN experience in Women's Care is strongly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months post-hire.
