We are looking for a dedicated Shelter Security and Support Coordinator to join our team at The Retreat, Inc.

As a Shelter Security and Support Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

Job Summary:

  • Maintain the safety and security of the Shelter and provide confidentiality to Shelter residents
  • Conduct regular security checks and monitor resident activities
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks and ensure cleanliness throughout the shelter
  • Document incidents and maintain accurate records

Responsibilities:

Client Interaction
  • Enter client information and activities into the database
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and statistical data collection
  • Provide emergency coverage as needed
Daily Tasks
  • Night shift: set alarm, confirm clients are present, and check halls, doors, and thermostats
  • Submit data to the Department of Social Services through the SOAR reporting procedure

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and experience in social work or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crises with minimal supervision

Estimated Salary: $52,000 - $62,000 per year, based on experience
