Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Director RN to join our team at Sunrise of Edgewater. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of our residents, ensuring that they receive exceptional care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Manage Health and Wellness Programs: Develop and implement effective health and wellness strategies to promote the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate resident care and services.
  • Manage Medication Management Program: Oversee the community medication management program to ensure resident safety and adherence to medication use processes.
  • Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Financial Management: Manage department budgets and understand their impact on the community's bottom line.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Accredited Nursing Program: Current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum two (2) years RN experience, with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: CPR and First Aid certifications, knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods in accordance with federal, state/provincial, and board of nursing requirements.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated Salary: $120,000 per year, based on location and experience.
