Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach courses in Drafting at Central Texas College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Drafting and be able to provide academic and vocational guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Drafting, including conventional and Computer-Aided Drafting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments to meet student learning objectives
  • Provide academic and vocational guidance to students as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
Requirements
  • Master's degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
  • Three years of wage full-time wage earning related work experience
  • Competency in teaching both conventional and Computer-Aided Drafting
  • Demonstrated competency in the subject matter being taught
  • Ability to communicate with students in a clear manner
  • Ability to author tests and lesson plans
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and specific application to engineering, surveying, and related applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching at the community college level
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
